Saudade

Writing for me is therapeutic, and I find emancipation in words. Poetry is cathartic to me. My journey with poems is very recent. My tryst with the world of poetry began in the cursed year 2020 when a lost a friend of mine to Covid-19. As I witnessed her funeral pyre and the flames engulfing her, a sense of acute dejection, and pain gripped me hard. I wanted to scribble down my pain and it was then that I started finding solace in poetry. Since then, I have been writing poems about every incident in my life that leaves a mark in my mind. My father had been detected with Dementia in 2015....
